Funding will allow all members to attend regardless of family or financial circumstances.
Clinks Care Farm Ltd is a South Norfolk based social enterprise providing therapeutic, educational and work experience placements to people experiencing various forms of disadvantage.
A grant of £3,720 will aid the development of this new project by contributing to the costs of CRB checks for staff and volunteers, insurance and safety equipment. The care farm will work with a wide range of clients including young people with autism, young offenders, those recovering from addictions and people with mental health problems. The project will lead to improved mental health and employability for participants.
Crossroads - Caring for Carers in Norfolk provides free practical support to carers in their own homes and runs a number of young carers’ social groups and adult carers’ social groups.
A small grant of £400 will allow 20 members of the Thetford young carers group to enjoy a days karting at Red Lodge. As well as giving these young people a break from their caring responsibilities, the day will help them to build friendships and improve social skills and self-esteem.
Holme Hale Playing Field Trust operates the village hall in this small Breckland village. The hall is the focus of most community activity including university of the third age activities, an art group, carpet bowls, auctions, WI, pop group practice sessions, brownies and dance lessons.
With so many demands on the available space, the hall came up with an innovative plan to site a portable building adjacent to the hall and build a link between the two. This will increase storage space and free up the main hall for activities. A grant of £4,848 enabled this plan to be realised.

Indigo Foundation is a Norwich based charity supporting people with dyslexia.
£2,500 will contribute towards the cost of volunteer led tuition sessions for individuals with dyslexia. People benefiting will typically be unemployed and lacking the confidence to apply for jobs. Tuition will help with reading, writing and numeracy and will boost confidence, learning techniques and provide the skills they need to attend more formal and structured basic skills courses which may eventually lead to employment.
National Osteoporosis Society King's Lynn & District offers support to people with osteoporosis, their families and carers.
A Grassroots Grant of £1,976 will help the group to purchase a marquee to enable the group to continue to attend a number of outside events to spread awareness of osteoporosis, its diagnosis and treatments.
Norfolk Music Works aims toincrease access to music making facilities and projects for people who are disadvantaged by way of social and rural isolation and physical and mental conditions.
A grant of £3,000 will contribute to the costs of this project in Mundesley which will engage young people aged 12 to 18 in a variety of music making activities. Mundesley is recognised as a pocket of rural deprivation in North Norfolk and this project will meet an identified need for music related opportunities for young people. Older teenagers will be recruited as peer mentors with the aim of sustaining the project after funding has ceased.
