Applications to support the following types of activity will be considered:

• Support for families
• Opportunities for young people to raise their aspirations, develop skills and realise achievements where they may not be able to do so through education
• Age related mental ill health, and associated care provision
• Therapeutic activities for older and/ or vulnerable people, including but not limited to reminiscence work, music or drama.

Please note the Silk Purse Fund will not support ongoing operational/ revenue costs.

Projects to support the sustainability and development of charitable organisations will be considered in the following circumstances:

• Start-up costs
• Clearly defined projects that assist sustainable organisations to develop or expand their activities
