Multi-year funding providing small grants for up to three years is available to support projects that provide activities, transport or advice services to benefit older people (aged 55+) in North Norfolk.

Grant size:
Grants of between £2,000 and £5,000 are available each year, for up to three years.
What costs can you apply for?
Grants can support the operational costs of existing projects, as well as expanding proven delivery. Grants can also be used for pilot activities or to test out new ideas or partnerships.
Types of activity the Fund can support may include:
- Community transport
- Lunch/ social clubs
- Advice services
- Walking/ exercise groups
- Volunteering
- Projects/ activities to promote learning and skills
- Intergenerational activities
- Carer support
- Digital skills
This fund will prioritise:
To aid decision-making and retain focus, this fund will prioritise applications which could demonstrate that the community they support are also experiencing hardship or poverty, as well as issues related to ageing and isolation.
Unfortunately there are a few things that cannot be funded:
- Applications purely for capital costs will not be considered. Requests can include small items of equipment to aid the delivery of activities, such as IT equipment.
- Applications purely for core costs will not be considered. Applicants can include a reasonable level of management costs to cover overheads in their project budget.
- Applications requesting funding for one-off events will not be considered.

Applicants should meet NCF general eligibility criteria.
Timeline:
The fund will be open for applications between Monday 20th January, closing 12 noon Monday 17th February.
Funding decisions are expected to be announced in April 2025.
The programme is funded by The John Laing Charitable Trust in memory of Sir Martin Laing.
