Grants for individuals

Opportunities to help you improve your skills and quality of life

Norfolk Community Foundation offers a small number of Funds that have been set up to make a difference by helping individuals to improve their skills, opportunities and quality of life. Currently these Funds are particularly targeted towards young people, unpaid family carers, and people facing a particular challenge or disadvantage.

In most cases your application will need to be supported by a professional person or a parent/ guardian.  Please carefully read the guidance for the Fund you would like to apply to, to ensure we have an opportunity that can help.  If you need any assistance to apply, please contact the NCF team.

If you don’t find a Fund here that can help you, the following may be able to assist:

  • Norfolk Citizens Advice Norfolk Grants Directory www.ncab.org.uk/grants – a searchable online database of mainly local sources of grants for individuals in need in Norfolk.
  • Turn2Us https://grants-search.turn2us.org.uk/ – a national charity offering a searchable online database of wider sources of financial aid, including checking benefit entitlements.
  • Norfolk County Council’s Client Hardship Service www.norfolk.gov.uk/care-support-and-health/support-for-living-independently/money-and-benefits/client-hardship-service – the scheme can help you if you can’t meet your everyday needs and are struggling financially. CHS can support you with food, paying your bills and money for everyday essentials.  It can also help you with household items like white goods or beds if you’re having to move house if, for example, you’re fleeing domestic violence or moving out of care and into the community. The fastest route to access the Client Hardship Service is online using the link above, or if applying online is not possible, call 01603 223392 (option 5).
