Sophie’s Sparkle Fund

A unique fund to enjoy a special moment and bring a smile to your child’s face

The Sophie’s Sparkle Fund was set up by Alex and Kirsty Taylor in 2021 as a legacy for their daughter, Sophie. They hope this Fund will bring a smile to your child’s face.

What can I apply for?

You can apply for up to £250 for an experience or for something that will bring your child battling cancer some joy.

Alex and Kirsty have provided some examples of things that they did when Sophie was poorly as inspiration for you (but of course, we would love to know in your application what will make your family smile):

  • The Gamestation Ltd – a mobile gaming arcade
  • The Baker Edit – themed cakes
  • Huggable Heroes
  • It’s My Party – party packages
  • Little Owls Creations – hand and foot casting
  • Modern Tribe Photography

What does the process look like?

You can apply by completing a simple application form linked below with your details and what you would use the funding for. Then you just need to send it to grants@norfolkfoundation.com with a letter from a medical professional (e.g. the formal diagnosis letter).

We will process every application as soon as they come in. This fast response will allow you to start planning your special moment at a time that best suits you. You should hear from the team within 2 weeks of applying.

We will contact you three-months after you have received your grant to hear about how it went, it would be amazing if you could share photos and quotes that we could send to Sophie’s parents so they can see the positive impact the fund is having on families.

If you have any questions around the Fund and more generally around Sophie’s Sparkle, please contact Jodie Lancashire-Clark

How can I support the Sophie’s Sparkle Fund?

Sophie’s family and friends are continuing to fundraise to make sure that no family feels alone when battling childhood cancer, but they need continued support to help reach as many families in Norfolk as possible.
